Jotunn
Introduction
Jötunn (Jotunn) is one of three partitions available on the Elja cluster. The main purpose of Jötunn is to provide courses access to powerful compute nodes that students can use. These compute nodes are shared between the partitions Jötunn and Elja, so other users on the Elja partition can also have access to them. However, due to the short time limit on the specified compute nodes, the flow of the queue should be fast. Therefore, these five compute nodes are not meant for calculations that would take more than one day to produce a result.
Hardware Specification
In total, the Jötunn partition has 256 cores and 960 GB of memory available: 4 x standard compute nodes and 1 x GPU node:
| Count | Name | Cores/Node | Memory/Node (GB) | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | Jotunn | 48 (2x24) | 192 (188) | Intel Gold 6248R |
| 1 | Jotunn-GPU | 64 (2x32) | 265 (252) | Nvidia A100 Tesla GPU |
More information can be found in the specs chapter and the partitions chapter.
